Heritage Real Estate Advisors, Inc. Launches Into San Diego Commercial Real Estate Market
Real Estate Veteran Mark Hoekstra Leads New FirmSAN DIEGO, CA - Following in the footsteps of his late grandfather, Ernest W. Hahn, Mark Hoekstra announced that he has formed Heritage Real Estate Advisors Inc. (Heritage), a full service commercial real estate firm. Hoekstra, formerly of IDS Real Estate Group, is the founding principal of Heritage. Based in San Diego, Heritage will provide a full range of real estate services, from asset and property management, to acquisition and disposition services.
"Heritage Real Estate Advisors, Inc will continue the tradition of a family profession that began with my grandfather 60 years ago," said Heritage founder Mark Hoekstra. His father, Mike Hummel, is an accomplished real estate developer in based in Los Angeles, and his Uncle, Ron Hahn, and cousin, Ernie Hahn II, are also well-known real estate professionals. "The business goals of Heritage will mirror what I learned throughout the years with my family as mentors. My desire is to carry on that tradition of providing quality professional real estate services, while being immensely involved in the community."
Heritage services include property management, leasing, acquisition, disposition, construction & development management, and advisory services to corporate and individual clients. Heritage principals have more than 18 years of combined real estate experience.

In its short existence Heritage has enlisted several clients. HootWinc, LLC, one of the largest franchisee's of Hooters restaurants, has selected Heritage to facilitate the chain's expansion in California, Iowa, Washington and Nebraska. Commenting on the deal Hoekstra said, "They are a professional organization with an aggressive expansion plan of opening 3 to 4 restaurants in each of these western markets and we are delighted to be working with them."
Heritage's other projects include the managing and leasing of an existing office building/potential mixed use development in downtown San Diego and a Fujitsu occupied R&D facility in San Jose for Robert Charles, L.P., a private investment firm, and its affiliates. Heritage is also managing and leasing the Traders Joe's anchored center in Pacific Beach and three other retail properties in Los Angeles for RSR Holdings, LLC.

Mark Hoeksta was born and raised in San Diego. Hoekstra, grandson of Horton Plaza developer Ernest W. Hahn, graduated from Mira Mesa High School and the University of San Diego.
